Graduate assistants, both Fiscal (12 months) and
Academic (9 months), are not required to pay tuition from their assistantship
stipends. Support for GA's should appear as follows:
Budget category:
604000 - GA salary (commensurate with department
standard)
668010 - Graduate Assistant Tuition
"Nonresident" fees are automatically waived
for graduate assistants and, as such, may be declared on budgets as
"matching funds" if appropriate and necessary.
No graduate assistant has an automatic tuition "waiver", with
the exception of LEQSF Superior Graduate Fellows. In that instance,
tuition is declared as "matching funds" in the budget.
For current Graduate Assistant Tuition amounts, choose a semester
Fall,
Spring,
Summer.
