Members of the faculty of the University of New Orleans are noted for their contributions to scholarship, including textbooks and works of fiction and nonfiction. To increase recognition of their achievements, in 2001 the Earl K. Long Library established the UNO Faculty Authors Collection. Housed in the Louisiana and Special Collections Department, the collection is being expanded actively to include both current and retrospective works.
